GRP Chemical Tanks: Which Resin System for Which Chemical?

Not all GRP/FRP tanks are built the same way. While the fiberglass reinforcement provides structural strength, it's the resin system that determines how well a tank resists a specific chemical.

Why resin choice matters

Different resins have different chemical resistance profiles. A resin well-suited to storing mild alkaline solutions may not be appropriate for concentrated acids, and vice versa. This is why Union Fiber's chemical and oil tanks are custom-engineered for each installation, rather than sold as one-size-fits-all products.

Custom configuration for your application

Each chemical tank unit we manufacture is custom-configured to withstand the client's specific chemical media, temperature fluctuations, and secondary containment requirements. This tank line uses advanced high-performance resin systems designed to provide chemically inert containment, eliminating the risk of internal corrosion and structural leaching that can affect traditional lined steel tanks.

Where these tanks are used

Our chemical and oil tanks are supplied for industrial process applications, chemical storage, municipal water treatment, refineries, chemical processing plants, and hazardous waste facilities. Given Union Fiber's headquarters in Jubail — a major Saudi petrochemical hub — this product line is engineered with proximity to real-world refinery and process-plant requirements. See our Oil, Gas & Petrochemical industry page for more.
